Due to inclement weather (that means bad weather Ray), and icy conditions,
the board would like to remind everyone that team captains may agree to re-schedule matches.
Options may be to start play earlier than 7pm to try and get out before the temperature drops too much, setting up car pools, or playing this weekend during daylight hours when temperature and visability is higher.
Please notify a board member if you are going to re-schedule the match for another night. Board Meeting Minutes for August 11 2008 Members in Attendance: Ray, Joe, Jeff, Jean, Roger, and Josh August 24th—sign up 11am, start tournament at Noon.Jeff to contact the Keg (at time of writing this has been done and we will be having the tournament there); food specials, beer specials in negotiation. Jean to make flyers for Eugene/ Springfield establishments.Jeff and Richard to retrieve standards from Joe’s place. Chalker prizes, not raffle, trying new approach, mystery poker chip for cash for each match chalked—Jean and Jeff to set up and run. $500- $600 in prize money – everyone making it out of first flight will at least get entry fee back. Door prize drawing—will happen after first flight, will be 2 $20 gift cards from Willamette Pool Tables – Roger will purchase gift cards and get reimbursed.By-laws: Committee has not met yet. Will try to do so before sign up tournament. Will identify discrepancies and have notes ready to be voted on by the board prior to the tournament. Jean will contact Shari and Lindsay to set up time for committee mtg. Player dues: Discussed player dues and leniency/ penalties. This season teams will be dropped from the league unless they have at least 4 paid members by 7pm week 3 (September 30th.) Fees may be paid to any board member. Fees paid to team captains will not be counted unless captain has turned money into a board member. Board members that are also team captain must turn money into treasurer prior to week three. Team stats will not count until dues are paid by at least 4 team members.
